Ohhhh real dairy tasted so good today. haha. Only kidding! Vegan Tuesday was a fun experiment. However, I was glad to not have to think so hard about what to eat this morning! :O)
My day began bright and early but in a fun way – I got to Skype chat with one of mine and Aaron’s college roommates who is currently teaching in Korea. Man do I miss her! It was so good to hear her voice and catch up on life. And the best thing about Skype is it’s freeeee!
After my Skype date it was time for breakfast. It’s still soooo hot here in DC and all I crave is yogurt and fruit in the mornings. So, here you have it!
It is:
- 2/3 cup Fage 2%
- a banana
- 1 tbsp. ground flax
- a drizzle of honey
- 1/2 cup organic cinnamon squares
- 1 tbsp. dried cranberries
- peanut butter spoon
- cinnamon
Yummy. I also have a new love – Starbucks iced coffee with a splash of soy and some cinnamon. I’d been reading about Tina drinking this for a while and decided to give it a shot yesterday on my way to work. So, so good and refreshing. I had another this morning. It might become a dangerous habit if I’m not careful!
Tonight we’re celebrating one of my roommates’ birthdays with dinner at Circle Bistro. I plan on taking pictures galore so that I can share the meal with you all. I’m excited! Stay tuned and I’ll have it up later tonight or tomorrow. Perhaps I’ll go browse the menu online now…. I mean get back to work!

Vegan Tuesday sounds like a good experience at least 🙂 Maybe I should give it a try.
I just came across your blog through the guest post you did for OSG.
What a cool idea to so something with your friend even though you live so fast apart! I love the idea! (And I just browsed through some archives, and really like your blog :-))
Beth, one question – is Newswires actually part of the name of the company you work for? I read the “about” section and the fact that you capitalized it caught my eye as I work for this company 😉
I am excited to find your awesome blog! I will be reading you quite frequently now!
I love skype. My roommate moved to the Philippines and I we skype all the time. I love the fact that I can see her and see who she is surrounded by and where she is living.
