As mentioned, my sister Louisa was meant to come over with her foster kittens for supper. She originally had three but very sadly when they separate from their mother so young, they only have about a 50% chance of surviving. Two of them had to be put down this week 😦 .
But little Hobbs is still with us and doing very well!
Have you ever seen anything so cute in all your life!? I love him, love him, love him. He had lots of fun running around and getting all of us to catch him before he leapt off the staircase/stuck his nose in a mouse trap/licked an electrical socket. Our house is not kitten proof!
I made Real Simple’s Turkey Pot Pie with Biscuit Crust for dinner. I love Real Simple because the recipes are simple (duh) and healthy but also very homey.
Very delicious. Enjoyed with a bit of red wine :).
My roommate Allison made dessert. We didn’t coordinate very well because guess what her fruit tarts were made from?
Biscuits! Good thing we all enjoy them so much :).
This also included sweet cream frosting, blackberries, apricots and almonds with a scoop of pomegranate blueberry sorbet. Very summery!
So there you go! Sunday dinner with Louisa, Grant, (other) Beth, Allison and of course, my little nephew Hobbs. ❤

OMG that kitten is SO CUTE! I WANT ONE! I’ve actually been wanting one… guess it’s coming up to kitten season, isn’t it!?
Hmmm… a famous food writer? I like that! Hope you’re working on getting published… or in some way pursuing that dream! Blogging is the best start, I think!
