Today is already a much better day. I spent all of last night cleaning and organizing and I feel like my post-holiday life is back on the right track. I also made sure to go to bed and wake-up right at my ideal times so that I wouldn’t be all rushed this morning. As a result I remembered my lunch, glasses and phone! Such an accomplishment.
What’s more exciting is that I had the time (and ripe enough bananas) to make some oats.
- 1/3 cup each oats/vanilla almond milk/water
- vanilla, cinnamon
- tbsp. ground flax
- banana
- 2 scoops of almond butter
- tbsp. of maple syrup
Yum. How I have missed them.
So while in Chicago this weekend I was super excited by the grocery store we stopped at for dinner ingredients as it was one of those lovely giant suburban ones, not the teensy limited one in downtown DC. My top priority was to find this Sugar Cookie Celestial Seasonings tea I’ve heard so much about but sadly I had no luck again. However, I did find the Nutcracker Sweet flavor and OH MAN is it delicious!! Cinnamon and vanilla. I love it so much I packed a little tea bag in my lunch today. Anyone know where to find this stuff? It is seriously the best tea ever.
What about everyone else? Any good tea recommendations? I am always on the hunt for a nice cup.
Anyway. I am going to cook something delicious and photogenic tonight. Probably after a productive trip to the gym. I’m sure you’ve all grown tired of my breakfast by now :).

Celestial Seasonings also makes a wonderful Gingerbread Spice Tea, which is sitting right next to the Nutcracker Sweet on my shelf! Also, my favorite tea in the world is Good Earth Original Sweet & Spicy Blend. If you like your tea bag jam-packed with spices, you will LOVE it. Enjoy!
I added the sugar cookie tea to my list. I have a bad sugar craving today.. and have already looked up sugar cookie recipes.. maybe the tea would help with the craving..
Safeway had Bigelow “Ginger Snappish” tea on sale yesterday! It’s awesome!! They also had the eggnog tea, but I wasn’t feeling that adventurous…
Ginger Snappish sounds really good! I forgot about Bigelow teas – they make some great ones!
I love the Stash brand of teas. I am obsessed with the peppermint one.
I hate tea…I don’t know why. For some reason it just all tastes the same to me. I mean the flavors yes are different but it always seems to have the same underlining flavor. Maybe I haven’t given it a good enough chance!
I know what you mean – I used to feel that way about teas too. This Nutcracker Sweet may change your mind though! I find it has a very distinct flavor :).
Last night I had the White Pomegranite Tea from Trader Joe’s and holy wow was it good!! So flavorful and delish!

I have not been able to find the infamous tea! I searched everywhere and I’m convinced it’s gone and we are not meant to be!
Have a great night!
I swear Celestial Seasonings is hiding the Sugar Cookie Tea on purpose! Our local supermarket sells the other four Christmas varieties, but never has the Cookie!
I LOVE the Candy Cane Lane version so I should totally try Nutcracker Sweet.
I’m sorry to hear that you could not find our Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride Herbal Tea. I am with Celestial Seasonings and am happy to send you a box along with a couple other holiday and our new green varieties. Please contact me if you are interested. Thanks for the great review of Nutcracker Sweet!
Hey girl!
I find then all the time around me, in MD. Maybe just getting out of the direct city and going to a regular Giant or Safeway and you can find them there!
Good luck!
